Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adapted specifically for ADHD. A structured, evidence-based talking therapy aimed at the thought patterns and behaviours that build up over years of missed deadlines, self-criticism and avoidance.

Not sure where to start? Call us and we’ll match you with the right plan.

Who it’s for:

  • Adults (and 16–17s through our young person pathway) whose ADHD is tangled up with anxiety, low self-esteem, procrastination, or persistent negative self-talk — often alongside coaching, not instead of it.

What a session involves:

  • 50-minute remote sessions, usually weekly to start. A typical course runs 6–12 sessions depending on what’s being worked on, following a structured CBT format: reviewing the week, working through a specific thought or behaviour pattern, and agreeing a task to try before the next session.

How it helps:

  • CBT is one of the most researched talking therapies available. ADHD-adapted CBT specifically targets the compensatory thinking — shame, self-blame, catastrophising about forgetfulness — that tends to build up over years of living with undiagnosed or recently diagnosed ADHD.

Who delivers it:

  • A BABCP-accredited CBT therapist, or an HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist with ADHD experience. This is genuine psychological therapy, so it’s never delivered by a coach or an unaccredited practitioner.
