Behavioural therapy focuses directly on specific, named behaviours – procrastination, avoidance, impulsive decisions – and works systematically to change them, using structured techniques rather than general discussion.
Not sure where to start? Call us and we’ll match you with the right plan.
This is for:
Adults whose ADHD shows up most clearly in specific, repeated behaviours they want to change. Not a replacement for CBT or coaching, but a more behaviourally-focused option where that’s the better fit.
What a session involves:
50-minute remote sessions, typically weekly. Sessions identify a specific target behaviour, break down what triggers and reinforces it, and build a structured plan to shift it – reviewed and adjusted session to session.
How it helps:
- Behavioural approaches are well-established for exactly the kind of patterned, repeated difficulty ADHD often produces. They work on what’s actually happening, not just how it feels to think about it.
Who delivers it:
- A BABCP-accredited therapist or HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist with ADHD experience — the same practitioner standard as CBT, since this is genuine psychological therapy.
